Referral program

This Referral Program Policy ("Referral Policy") governs participation in the Layout referral program offered by Layout, Inc. ("Layout," "we," "us"). This Referral Policy supplements our Terms and Conditions, our Generative AI Terms, our Delegated Spending Authority Terms, our Refund Policy, and our Privacy Policy, all of which are available at layout.link/legal. By participating in the referral program, you agree to this Referral Policy. If there is a conflict between this Referral Policy and our Terms and Conditions with respect to referrals, this Referral Policy controls.

Overview

The referral program is a limited promotion offered in connection with the launch of Layout. Through the program, a referred person can place one qualifying order at a select participating merchant at no cost, up to a value of $7. Layout pays for that order directly. The program is offered at our discretion and may be changed, paused, or ended at any time without notice.

Unlocking the Program

To unlock the referral program, you must place and complete at least one order through Layout. Once the program is unlocked on your account, you may refer friends using the referral codes issued to your account. Referral codes are tied to your account, are for your personal use, and are not transferable except as described below.

How Referral Codes Work

You may have up to three referral codes outstanding at any one time. Each code you send expires seven days after it is sent. If a code expires without being redeemed, it returns to your account and you may send it to someone else. Each account is limited to three redeemed referrals for the life of that account. Once three referrals have been redeemed on your account, no further codes are issued.

Who Can Redeem

A referral code may only be redeemed by a new Layout user who has not previously placed an order through Layout. The reward is limited to one per person, one per account, and one per payment method. You may not redeem your own referral code.

What the Reward Covers

The reward covers one qualifying order at a select participating merchant, up to a total of $7 including applicable taxes. Participating merchants and qualifying items are chosen by Layout and may change at any time. Before the order is submitted, Layout presents you with a preview of the order, including items, merchant, subtotal, applicable taxes, and order total. If the order total is more than $7, the order does not qualify as a free order. You may adjust the order so that it falls within the limit, or you may confirm it as a regular paid order, in which case the full total is charged to the card on your profile. Layout will always show you which of these applies before you confirm.

Payment Method Requirement

To redeem a referral code, you must have a valid payment card saved to your Layout profile. The card is required to verify your account and to enable future ordering. Your card will not be charged for the free referral order. Layout pays that order in full.

Fees on Future Orders

The referral reward applies only to the single qualifying order described above. Orders you place after that are subject to Layout's agentic ordering fees, which accrue on your Layout tab. Those fees are presented to you before any transaction is made, and you confirm them before an order is placed. No Cash Value

Referral codes and rewards have no cash value. They cannot be sold, traded, transferred, exchanged for cash or credit, combined with other promotions, or applied retroactively to an order that has already been placed.

Fair Use and Abuse

Referral codes are intended to be shared with people you personally know. They may not be posted publicly, distributed through spam, listed on coupon or deal sites, sold, or promoted through paid advertising. Layout may void codes, cancel rewards, withhold rewards, reverse charges, or suspend accounts where we believe the program is being misused. This includes the creation of duplicate or fraudulent accounts, the use of automated tools, the use of false information, and any other activity intended to obtain rewards beyond the limits described in this Referral Policy. Decisions regarding program abuse are made by Layout and are final.

Refunds on Referral Orders

Because Layout pays for the referral order, that order is not eligible for a cash refund. If something goes wrong with a referral order, our Refund Policy governs how the issue is reviewed, and any remedy Layout provides will be at our discretion.

Changes to the Program

Layout may modify, suspend, or end the referral program at any time, including reducing the reward amount, changing the list of participating merchants, changing the number of referrals available, or changing how long codes remain valid. Codes that have already been sent may be honored at our discretion, but we do not guarantee that an unredeemed code will remain valid if the program ends.

Changes to This Referral Policy

Layout may update this Referral Policy from time to time. Continued participation in the referral program after an updated Referral Policy becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Referral Policy.
